Event - Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year as a whole school. The day was filled with exciting events and activities, including a Chinese lunch which was yummy!

In the EYFS, we made a large dragon in our outdoor area and our youngest children were very brave trying different foods - everyone loved the noodles!

In Key Stage 1 we researched how Chinese New Year is celebrated and made dragon masks to take part in a class parade.

In Key Stage 2 we learnt all about the story of Chinese New Year and researched our own year animal.

Overall, St. Margaret Mary's enjoyed a fantastic Chinese New Year. It was really fun to experience a different culture.
