Event - Reception's Christmas Events

4 to 13 December 2024

On 4th December, Reception visited the MAC theatre to see the production of 'Finding Santa'. For many of our reception children, this was their first trip to the theatre and their faces lit up with pure joy as they watched and interacted with the performance.

The children were a credit to school and even enjoyed a picnic lunch on their return.

On 9th December, Reception presented the story of the birth of baby Jesus to their families.

Every child in reception had a role, whether it be to narrate the story or act out a key part. All of the children spoke and sang eloquently, whilst the actors confidently moved through the story. It was lovely to see all of the smiles beaming on their parent's faces.

OnFriday 13th December, Reception welcomed Cafe Ceramica into school. The children enjoyed choosing and painting a Christmas tree decoration for their tree. They learnt that they needed to put three coats of paint on the decoration and then it needed to be baked in the kiln.

Reception were very excited to receive their ornaments back.
