Event - The Wizard of Oz at the Old Rep

Key Stage 2 children enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Old Rep theatre to watch The Wizard of Oz. Years 3 and 4 attended on Thursday 12th December and Years 5 and 6 had their chance on Tuesday 17th December.

We watched a brilliant production of the traditional story, with some added twists. The story follows Dorothy who, with the help of the Good Witch Glinda, a spirited scarecrow, a tender tinman, and a loveable lion, follows the yellow brick road to try and find a way home. Encountering both friends and foes during her quest through the colourful kingdom, Dorothy and her charismatic companions journey to the Emerald City.

The theatre visit was very interactive and children relished in their chance to shout out response pantomime-style.
