Event - Year 2 visit Kingsbury Water Park

Year 2 went on a trip to Kingsbury Water Park to learn more about their topic ‘Habitats’ and their science unit ‘Living things and their habitats’.

The children explored different habitats such as a woodland, meadow and a pond. With their guide, they used nets, magnifying glasses and equipment to observe different minibeasts up close. We discussed different microhabitats that minibeasts might live in such as under logs, in clumps of grass or under leaves.

For the second activity, the children went to a pond and completed a pond dipping activity.
