Event - Year 3 at Packwood House and Gardens

To enrich our topic of Gardens through time, Year 3 had the chance to explore a variety of Gardens at Packwood House.

The children started in the Victorian Kitchen Garden, where we went on a plant hunt to find out all of the fruits, vegetables and herbs we could find. The children became experts at spotting different varieties!

Next, we visited the famous Yew Tree Garden, where we explored the trees and their representation of ‘The Sermon on the Mount’. The children were really impressed by all the work that goes into caring for the trees and particular enjoyed climbing the mount to see the impressive view at the top.

A lovely day where the rain did not put a dampener on our learning!
