Event - Year 3 at the Thinktank

Year 3 visited Thinktank Museum to enhance our Science learning and to focus on Rocks and Soils.

The children enjoyed a workshop where they had to identify whether a material was rock or not and then had to sort rocks using a classification key. They really enjoyed getting to be hands on and experiment on the rocks in order to classify them.

We then explore the rest of the museum, seeing products and inventions that were created in Birmingham. Everything for rubber ducks to the Spitfires. The children particularly enjoyed the wildlife and transport sections – especially when they got to see robots building a car!
