Event - Year 5 Cafe Ceramica Workshop

Year 5 enjoyed a visit from Café Ceramica today for our topic Shang Dynasty.

During this workshop, we reminded ourselves of the Willow plate design and the Chinese legend which inspired this design. We explored some of the key aspects of this story and how they are portrayed in images on the plate.

We then chose one of the key components of the design and recreated it using paint on a ceramic tile which will be fired in the kiln so we can have our own Willow plate tile at home.
