Event - Year 6 at the Alexander Stadium

26 June 2025

Year 6 received a tour of Alexander stadium as part of their current topic 'Sporting History'.

Stuart the tour guide met us at the front of the stadium and began to tell us about the significance of the building. He spoke to us about the Birmingham Bull and the Commonwealth games, which were held there in 2022.

The children had a tour of the stadium and got to try out some of the events, including running a lap of the stadium which was 400 metres and seeing where the discus and pole vaulters take part in their events. They also got to see a silver winners medal from the 1936 Olympic games.

Enjoying the stadium.
