Event - Year 6 Ancient Egyptians with Professor McGinty

Professor McGinty visited our Year 6 children to enrich their topic of Ancient Egypt.

The Professor took the children on a journey through Ancient Egypt. He introduced them to the different creatures that would have lived in Egypt at the time, such as the scarab beetle and the children got the chance to experience artefacts first hand.

He talked through the mummification process which we were all very interested in. He showed Year 6 maps and discussed the geography of the area and the importance of the Nile.

The children are really enjoying this topic and it was wonderful to see their fascination in this workshop!
